Janet Marie (Reid) Ward

Janet Marie (Reid) Ward of Pawtucket, formerly Brighton, MA and Walpole, MA passed away with her beloved son and granddaughter at her side of April 4, 2026, at her home at the age of 82.  Mrs. Ward was wife of the late Michael J. Ward.

Janet was born on January 31, 1944, in Brighton, MA, daughter of the late Mary Alice (Delleze) and Arthur J. Reid.  She was raised and educated in Brighton and was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Columbkille Parish.  A calm and pleasant disposition, Mrs. Ward preferred to live a private and humble life.  She was a committed Catholic, a loving mother and a proud grandmother.  Following her family’s arrival in Walpole, Janet attended Blessed Sacrament Parish. 

In addition to her devoted life as a Catholic, Janet worked for a private company who distributed food to military installation’s commissaries.  She also worked for a donut shop, serving coffee and helping people get a jump on their workday.

Janet Marie Ward is survived by her son Michael Ward of Pawtucket.  She was the proud grandmother of the Darby Ward (Shawn) and the late Michael L. Ward.  Mrs. Ward is survived by several dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Columbkille Parish in Brighton, MA a later date.  Arrangements are under the care and the director of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
