James Barker, Jr. Obituary

James Barker, Jr. 93 of Pawtucket passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at The Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the father of Catherine A. Lapierre of Pawtucket. Mr. Barker is also survived by his grandchildren; Austin J. Lapierre and Aimee L. Saprenza. Mr. Barker is reunited with his parents the late Beatrice (Davenport) and James Barker, Sr., and his sister the late Patricia Besette.

James Barker, Jr. was born on Beatrice and James Sr. on August 9, 1931, in Pawtucket. He served in country as a member of the Army National Guard. For many years Mr. Barker lived in Dayton, Ohio, coming to Rhode Island in 1996. While in Dayton, James was a member of the American Legion, VFW and AmVets. James had his faith and was raised Catholic.

There are no formal services. As per his wishes a private cremation will take place. Arrangements are under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
