Jaime Antonio Marques, 91, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 25, 2026. Mr. Marques was the beloved husband of Maria C. (Antunes) Marques.
Mr. Marques was born in Lourinha, Portugal, on October 29, 1934. Upon immigrating to the United States, Jaime and Maria settled in Central Falls for a short time before spending the past 60 years in Pawtucket. Mr. Marques was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Parish on Lawn Avenue in Pawtucket. He worked and retired as a machine operator for the Hasbro Toy Company.
Mr. Marques possessed a natural and strong work ethic. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could build or fix almost anything. A personal passion of his was fishing. He also had a talent for gardening, as his home was the most well-kept and beautiful on the street. He was also a soccer fanatic, having himself been a club soccer player when he was young. In addition, he had been a competitive cyclist. Above all, Mr. Marques was a committed father, husband, and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Maria, Jaime Antonio Marques is survived by his beloved daughters: Ana Marques of Cumberland, Connie Senna of Smithfield, and Rose Marques of Massachusetts. He was the proud grandfather of Emma Senna and Abby Senna. He is also survived by his brother, Jose A. Marques, and his sister, Ema Marques dos Santos, both of Portugal.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held 4-7pm on Sunday, May 31, in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross Street, Central Falls, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, June 1, in St. Anthony’s Parish, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 900 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
