Ismael better known as Maciso or Tony, Acevedo, of Central Falls, Passed away after an illness, at the age of 90.
He was the husband of Marta Colon Medina and have been together for the last 30 years or more. He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Placido Nolasco Acevedo and Delia Medina Santiago. He has lived in Central Falls for several years. He had been employed as a machine operator at the former Nulco Mfg. in Pawtucket for several years before retiring. Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Sandra Carrion of New Jersey, Gloria Acevedo of Pawtucket, Anita Acevedo of Woonsocket and Zeneida Acevedo of Puerto Rico. He also leaves 7 sons, Luis Acevedo of Central Falls, Jose and Ismael Acevedo of Pawtucket, Alex Nolasco also of Pawtucket, Brian and Joey of Taunton and Placido Acevedo of Puerto Rico. He was the father of the late Ismael Acevedo. He also leaves 11 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.
Maciso or Tony, was more popularly known years ago, by his bright red truck with large stuffed animals mounted on the roof. He enjoyed talking to people and had a very outgoing personality. He enjoyed altering "Guiros" (a Puerto Rican musical instrument).He was well known and respected in Central Falls. He will be missed by many.
