Isabel Luna, 88, of Central Falls passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice Palliative Care Center in Providence on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Born June 12, 1932 in Belmira, Colombia she was the beloved daughter of the late Benilda Arboleda.
Isabel was a loving aunt to her large family, she often spent time with her great nieces and nephews. Her favorite activities to do with them was waking them up bright and early after a night of exciting telenovelas to clean her house; to inspire them to continue to clean with her, she would make delicious meals, her most noteworthy being Spaghetti Sancocho. During the pandemic, she became familiar with the televised broadcasts of Church. It allowed her the freedom to do as she pleased while she praised Him; before the pandemic, she was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish and attended St. Matthew's Church. She was a fan of the Colombia National soccer team.
Isabel is survived by her sister Margerita Betancourt; brother in law, Ciro Amaya; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, three brothers and three sisters.
