Hilda Cuello of Central Falls,, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2023. She was 88 years old. Hilda was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, March 22, 1935. She was the devoted mother of four children, Rafael Cuiello, Humberto Cuello, Hubert Cuello and Elena Rose. She is survived by her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family she leaves behind are the by-product of a brave woman that traveled to the United States in 1972 seeking an opportunity to provide a better future for her children after the passing of her husband, Humberto Cuello.
She worked at Hasbro for 25 years until she retired . Her main focus was to reunite her family in the united States which she fulfilled in 2000, marking her biggest accomplishment through much effort, worry and sacrifice.
Hilda was a woman of strong character, straight forward and very astute. She was wise, funny and loving. Until the very end she was still providing for family in Colombia and thinking about her loved ones future. She leaves behind a legacy of her work, the lone of a mother, and dedication to family, a true matriarch. She found joy in sewing, cooking, long phone conversations, word search puzzles and planning her visits to Colombia. Her witty character and smart remarks will truly be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 16th from 4 until 6 PM in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home on Cross Street in Central Falls
