Hector Manuel Rivera Cante

Hector Manuel Rivera Cante 54 of Central Falls passed away on August 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Rivera was born on March 11, 1971, in Palencia, Guatemala and was the son of Francisco Rivera and Esquiela Cante.

Hector immigrated to the United States in the late 1980’s, settling in Central Falls.  Throughout the years, Mr. Rivera worked as a maintenance man for several companies.  He was a naturally happy man with a good sense of humor, known for his good nature ribbing and needling of his family and friends, never in a malicious way.  If he joked with you, it meant he liked you. 

In addition to his parents, Hector is survived by his loving daughter Guadelupe Marroquin of Central Falls.  He was a proud grandfather of 3 grandsons.  Hector is also survived by Lidia Rivera of Central Falls, Irma Rivera of Pawtucket, Marvin Rivera of Central Falls and Hugo Rivera of Central Falls.  Mr. Rivera also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends both in Guatemala and Rhode Island.

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held from 5-8pm on Friday September 5th in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. in Central Falls.  A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10am in the funeral home on Saturday September 6th.  Committal will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery 200 Armistice Blvd in Pawtucket.
