Guillermina "Cookie" Rodriguez

Guillermina “Cookie” Rodriguez a resident of Pawtucket passed away suddenly on Saturday April 23, 2022 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence.  Ms. Rodriguez was 58 years old.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 3, 1963 to her parents Jose Cruz and Celia Flores Cruz.

“Cookie” was a very social and happy woman.  She believed deeply in education and family unity.  This resonated deeply with her children and they looked to her as a prime example.  Ms. Rodriguez earned associates degrees in both Law and Psychology from Johnson & Wales University.  When she wasn’t working hard she enjoyed the little things in life such as; enjoying the day that was given, relaxing and playing her favorite card games; Spades and Rummy. “Cookie” will forever be remembered as a nonjudgmental, stand-up and honest person. 

Ms. Rodriguez is survived by her loving children; Rafael Rodriguez of Philadelphia, PA, Monica Spencer of West Warwick, Antonio Rodriguez of Oklahoma and Veronica Rodriguez of Providence.  “Cookie” was a loving grandmother, sister and friend.  She is also survived by her husband Samuel Wright of Cumberland.

A committal service will be held for Guillermina on Friday May 6^th at 11am in The Chapel in St. Joseph’s Cemetery 959 Nooseneck Hill Rd West Greenwich, RI 02817.  There will be no visitation.  Interment will follow the service.  Arrangements are under the care of The Coelho Home of Central Falls.
