Gregory S. Dantzler, 36 years old, passed away peacefully at Tuft's Medical Center in Boston after a long illness.. He was born in Pawtucket, RI, a son of Jennifer Dantzler of Pawtucket and Gregory Stewart of New York. Gregory worked in the food service industry several years. He had lived most of his life in Pawtucket before moving to Providence.
He had attended EQ High School in Providence. Gregory was an avid sports enthusiast and a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter and family and loved Mom's cooking.
Besides his parents, he leaves a daughter, Aaliyah Dantzler of Providence, three brothers, Leon Stewart of Providence, Jonathan Dantzler of New York and Alhasan Soumath of Texas, nieces and nephews, he was the longtime companion of Melinda Cruz.
His Funeral Service will be held on SATURDAY, October 19th at 11 AM in Mt. Hope Community Baptist Church, Hope Street, Providence. Visitation will begin at 10 AM prior to the Service.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A reception will follow in the lower level of the church. Arrangements by the Coelho Home, Central Falls.
