Grace Ward 72 formerly of Central Falls and E. Providence passed away on January 1, 2023 at her home in Wildwood, FL. Mrs. Ward was the wife of the late John Ward. She was born on July 11, 1950 in Central Falls and was the daughter of the late Albert T. and Jeannine (Lipde) Lowe.
Grace worked as a Specialist in Human Resources for many years. Her skills were appreciated by Fram Auto Parts, Nyman and Paramount Cards. Upon her retirement, Mrs. Ward worked in retail at Ocean State Job Lot and was employed as a bus monitor for Pawtucket Public Schools.
Mrs. Ward loved music and dancing. She always looked forward to planning her next vacation and taking cruises. Her sense of humor was second to none and she kept detailed chronicles in her journals. Grace was a devote Catholic who always attended weekly Mass. Another enjoyment was trying her luck in Cribbage, Bunco, Hi-Lo Jack, Slots and Bingo.
Grace will be fondly remembered by her children and their spouses; Patricia Draut and Kirk of Houston, TX, Roland Buteau, Jr. and Patricia of Rumford, Paul Buteau and JoAnn of Palm Harbor, FL and Lesley King and Richard of Barrington. She was a proud grandmother of 11 and is also survived by her siblings; Thomas Lowe and his wife Carolyn of Harrisville, FL and Mary Angelone of The Villages, FL. Mrs. Ward also leaves behind her former husband Roland Buteau, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday March 31st at St. Margaret’s Church 1098 Pawtucket Ave. Rumford. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to meet directly at the Church. Committal Prayers will follow in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery 661 Prospect St. Pawtucket. Arrangements are under the care of The Coelho Home-Funeral Directors of Central Falls.
