Gary Perry Obituary

Gary Wayne Perry of Providence, RI passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the age of 65. Gary was the son to the late Bernice (Pereira) and Silas Perry, and stepson of the late Herlin Ducros. He is survived by three children, Sharmbray Sanders of Atlanta, GA., Jameel Greene of Providence, RI, and Robert Clements of Sacramento, CA. Three grandchildren; Aarian Baptista and Anthony Parry of Atlanta, GA., India Jordan of Providence, RI, and 26 additional grandchildren. He leaves behind one brother Herlin Perry of Providence, RI and 5 sisters Donna Perry, Patricia Riggins, Renee Perry, Robin Perry, and Stacy Perry all of Providence, RI. He also leaves behind 19 nephews and 7 nieces, a host of great nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Gary was a painter and handyman. In his early years, he worked at New England Floors. He was a hands on type of guy when it came to working and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Gary was a very intelligent, funny, and outspoken guy. When you see Gary (G-Money), he was always guaranteed to have a newspaper in his hand. He loved to read (“turn some pages,” as he would say) and talk, and everyone knows G could talk. He loved to kick knowledge to all who would listen. Gary brought joy and laughter, that only Gary could give, to all around him and was a voice of wisdom. Gary will be profoundly missed by many. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
