Gabriel Rosario

Gabriel Rosario of Providence passed away on November 12, 2025, at the Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice Center in Providence.  Mr. Rosario was born on June 22, 1945, in Arroyo, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Leonarda Rosario.

Gabriel was proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and especially enjoyed his music.  He worked on farms as an agriculturist for several years prior to his retirement.  Mr. Rosario also enjoyed fishing and boxing, a sport that he competed in as a young man.  Before settling in Providence 40 years ago, Gabriel lived in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston following his arrival from Puerto Rico. 

Mr. Rosario is survived by his daughter Yolanda Rosario and by his son Gabriel Rosario, Jr.  He was a proud grandfather of 8 and a great grandfather of 9. 

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Tuesday November 18th from 5-8pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.
