Fidel Matos Villar

Fidel Matos Villar 81 of Pawtucket died peacefully at The Miriam Hospital in Providence on December 4, 2023.  He was born on October 7, 1942 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to the Fidel Matos Sr. and Francisca Villar.

Fidel came to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 2008.  He was a man of faith and kindness.  His work ethic was attributed to his demanding profession as an Agriculturist on his family’s land.

Fidel Matos Villar is survived by his children Aura Reynoso, Victor Matos, Elvin Matos, Wellington Matos, Josilyne Matos and Angela Matos.  He was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren and a great grand- father of 5.

Calling Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Thursday December 7th from 5-8pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11am on Friday December 8th.  Burial will follow in North Burial Ground in Providence.
