Erasmo Avendano

Erasmo Avendano 63 of Cumberland died peacefully on the morning of March 31, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Avendano was born in Medellin, Colombia on December 20, 1961, to his parents Fernandina and Alfonso Avendano. 

In 1997, Mr. Avendano immigrated to the United States, settling in Central Falls.  Erasmo and his family moved to Cumberland in 2007 and have called it home since.  Mr. Avendano worked in the landscaping industry for several years prior to becoming a factory worker at Capstan Atlantic for 20 years, retiring in 2024 due to his illness.  Erasmo was a true family man and a man of faith. 

Erasmo Avendano is survived by his wife Maria Zuluaga of Cumberland.  He was the proud and devoted father of Kenneth Avendano Zuluaga and Daniel Avendano Zuluaga, both of Cumberland.  Mr. Avendano was the beloved grandfather of Daniel Avendano, Jr. and Aiden Avendano.  He was a loving brother to 13 siblings. 

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday April 3rd in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls.  Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 7th at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Parish 1030 Dexter St. in Central Falls.
