Emilia Silveira 90, of Pawtucket, passed away at Hope Hospice in providence after an illness. She was the loving wife of the late Eliseu Silveira.
Born in Terceira, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Luiz Gonzaga Silva and Maria dosAnjos Sampaio. Emilia came to the United States in 1970 and settled in Pawtucket. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a machine operator at Peterson Puritan in Cumberland for 20 years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Pawtucket.
She was the loving mother of Jorge Silveira of Pawtucket, Carlos Silveira of Rumford, Filomena Silva of Pawtucket and Maria Goncalves of No. Providence. Emilia also leaves her grandchildren, Maryann, Erik, Kimberly, Brittany and Shane; a sister Maria DeFatima Silva Sampaio of the Azores as well as 7 Great Grandchildren. she was the sister of the late Luis Gonzaga Silva, Angeline Gonzaga and Maria DosAnjos Gonzaga.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held TUESDAY at 10 AM in St. Anthony's Church, Lawn Ave. Pawtucket. Burial will be Private. Due to the Pandemic, visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted, Memorial donations can be made to the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, at 1085 No. Main St. Providence, RI 02904
