Elvia Molina Guerra of Johnston, formerly of Central Falls passed away at her home on October 3, 2024 with her loving family at her side. She was 74 years old. Mrs. Molina was the wife of Mario Molina.
Elvia was born in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala on October 3, 1950, daughter of the late Timoteo Guerra and Clara Barraza. She left Guatemala for the United States at a young age to give her family a better life, immigrating in 1975 and lived in Los Angelos, California for several years before settling in Central Falls in 1989. Mrs. Molina worked as a packer for the Hasbro Toy Co. in Pawtucket for many years. She had a strong work ethic and always displayed a happy disposition. Elvia was a devote Catholic and extremely committed to her family.
In addition to her husband, Elvia Molina Guerra is survived by her children Oscar Alberto Paz and his wife Iris of Providence, Nancy Paz and her companion Tony Goncalves of Central Falls, Jessica Molina of Providence and Cindy Molina and her husband Victor Alicea of Johnston. Mrs. Molina is reunited with her son the late Olger Vinicio Molina. She was the proud grandmother of Kendra Terry, Kassandra Alicea, Noami Paz, Victoria Terry, Antonio Goncalves, Victor Alicea, Alberto Paz, Isaiah Alicea, Olger V. Molina, Alexandra Molina, Laisha Goncalves, Naziah Vazquez, Angel Marrero and Jessie Terry. Mrs. Molina is survived by her great grandchildren Ahdrea Sierra, Jacob Barrie, Gabril Barrie, Frances Alicea and Brendan “Junior” Hall. Elvia was the sister of Anamerica Guerra of Central Falls, the late Miguel Guerra and the late Rolando Guerra.
Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday October 9th from 8-11am in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. in Central Falls. A funeral service will be celebrated at 12pm at the Church of Master 15 Valley St. in Providence. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground 5 Branch Ave. in Providence.
