Elba Esperanza Sandoval Orellana, de 65 años, de Attleboro, Massachusetts, falleció el 20 de junio de 2025 en el Boston Medical Center de Boston, Massachusetts, tras una breve enfermedad.  Nació el 5 de septiembre de 1959 en Jalapa, San Pedro, Guatemala, hija de César Antonio Sandoval Trigeros y Rosalina Orellana Lemus.

Elba creció en Jalapa, Guatemala y pasó la mayor parte de su vida trabajando como peón agrícola, procesando queso y leche. La Sra. Sandoval llegó a los Estados Unidos en 2015, estableciéndose con su familia en Attleboro. Tenía una ética de trabajo extraordinaria y era una persona naturalmente amable.

 No importaba lo difíciles que se pusieran las cosas, Elba nunca se desanimaba y siempre daba a los demás, incluso si eso significaba ir con menos para sí misma.  Lo más importante es que fue una madre y abuela magnífica.  Elba dejó una huella en este mundo que siempre se sentirá.

A Elba Esperanza Sandoval Orellana le sobreviven sus 5 hijos: Madelin Arévalo de Attleboro, MA, Darvin Arévalo de Lawrence, MA, Luis Arévalo de Jalapa, Guatemala, Otto Portillo de Jalapa, Guatemala y Cindy Portillo de Attleboro, MA.  Era la orgullosa abuela de 16 nietos y tiene un 17 en camino.  Elba era la hermana amorosa de 3 hermanos.

El horario de visitas, al que los familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a asistir, se llevará a cabo el jueves 26 de junio de 5 a 8 p.m. en la Funeraria Charles Coelho, 151 Cross St., Central Falls, RI 02863.  Elba será enterrada en el Cementerio de Jardín Memorial Campo Verde en Jalapa, Guatemala.

 

Elba Esperanza Sandoval Orellana 65 of Attleboro, Massachusetts passed away on June 20, 2025 at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA following a short illness.  She was born on September 5, 1959 in Jalapa, San Pedro, Guatemala to the late Cesar Antonio Sandoval Trigeros and Rosalina Orellana Lemus.

Elba grew up in Jalapa, Guatemala and spent the majority of her life working as a farm hand, processing cheese and milk. Ms. Sandoval came to the United States in 2015, settling with her family in Attleboro. She had an extraordinary work ethic and was a naturally kind person.

 No matter how tough things got, Elba never got down and she would always give to others, even if it meant going with less for herself.  Most importantly she was a magnificent mother and grandmother.  Elba left a mark on this world that will always be felt.

Elba Esperanza Sandoval Orellana is survived by her 5 children: Madelin Arevalo of Attleboro, MA, Darvin Arevalo of Lawrence, MA, Luis Arevalo of Jalapa, Guatemala, Otto Portillo of Jalapa, Guatemala and Cindy Portillo of Attleboro, MA.  She was the proud grandmother of 16 grandkids and has a 17th on the way.  Elba was the loving sister of 3 siblings.

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Thursday June 26th from 5-8pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.  Elba will be laid to rest in Cementerio de Jardin Memorial Campo Verde in Jalapa, Guatemala.
