Elaine F. Gemma

Elaine F. Gemma 78 died on October 8, 2024 at her home in Warwick, RI with her loving family at her side.  Elaine was the wife of the late Robert Gemma.  

Mrs. Gemma was born on May 13, 1946 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Hilda Ise and Anthony Calabro.  She was educated in Providence up until the 8th grade when she had to leave school to go to work in order help support her family.  Elaine always enjoyed working and did so until her illness forced her to stop.  Prior to her battle with health complications, Mrs. Gemma had worked for Calvitto's Bakery in Cranston.  

Elaine had a strong faith and a kind heart.  She loved traveling, especially if traveling meant going to Disney.  Cooking was no chore to Elaine, she loved it and it was a requirement to have dessert following every meal.  What Mrs. Gemma will be most remembered for is being an incredible Mom and grandmother.  Every holiday was a big deal for the kids and grandkids and she was at her happiest when she was with family.  Elaine's impact will be felt forever by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Elaine F. Gemma is survived by her sons Matthew B. Gemma and William Gemma and his husband Wayne.  Along with being reunited with her late husband Robert, Elaine reunites with her sons the late Robert "Bobby" Gemma II and the late Christopher Gemma.  She is survived by her grandchildren Elaina Gemma, Christopher Gemma, Jr. and Robert Anthony Gemma III. Elaine was the sister of Marie Ann Perogino and the late Laura Martino.

In accordance with Elaine's wishes a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.
