Eddie Guzman Carrillo 84 passed away on December 17, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Maria Guzman Santiago.
Mr. Guzman was born to Louisa Carrillo in Rio Pieras, Puerto Rico on August 1, 1941. Edie earned his high school and college degrees in Puerto Rico and severed honorably in the United States Army. He worked in the hospitality profession as a server in the restaurant of a hotel in Puerto Rico and later served as a packer for a copper wire company.
Eddie was a gifted baseball player and loved the Boston Red Sox. Sports were important in the Guzman family’s life and Eddie never missed one of his daughter’s basketball or softball games. He enjoyed people and having a good time, enjoying parties. Above all Mr. Guzman’s greatest passions and gifts were his beautiful family. He was a magnificent Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Guzman is survived by his daughter Iris Guzman of Pawtucket. He is reunited with his late children, Rafael Guevarez and Maritza Guzman. He was a proud grandfather of 8 and a great grandfather of 14. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visiting Hours to which relative and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Tuesday December 23rd from 4-7pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI. Interment will be held at a later date in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
