Delia Theresa Czarnecki of Pawtucket, formerly of Woonsocket, passed peacefully on June 8, 2026 at the age of 97. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Czarnecki.
Delia was born on June 4, 1929 in Auburn, ME, daughter to the late Marion and Amedee Samson. Following her graduation from high school, Mrs. Czarnecki became a hairstylist and owned and operated the Four Seasons Salon in Pawtucket. She later entered healthcare, becoming a nurse working at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence. Delia also performed her nursing duties in private care.
Mrs. Czarnecki was a kindhearted woman. She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of the former St. Mary’s Parish in Pawtucket.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she is reunited with the brother, the late Gerard Samson. She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday June 17th at 10am in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI. Visitation to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held prior to the funeral at 9am. Committal will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.
