Dario Efren Hernandez

NOTICE OF CHANGED DATE FOR FUNERAL

Dario E. Hernandez, 63, of Chesapeake, Virginia and formerly of Rhode Island, passed away after a brief battle with ALS Disease in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA.  He was the beloved  husband of Ana Elel. Dario was born in Chiquimulia, Santa Rosa, Guatemala, a son of the late Mario Gonzalez Hernandez and Maria Luiza Lanuza. Dario was an accomplished automotive technician before migrating to Rhode Island and then to Virginia, He was employed as a stocker for the Walmart Corporation for several years. While living in Guatemala, Dario was also an avid farmer and loved animals of all kinds.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son Andrew Hernandez of Chesapeake, three daughters, Jacqueline Hernandez, also of Chesapeake, Dianna McClelland of Ohio and Daisy Hernandez of Pawtucket. He also leaves a sister, Aracely Hernandez of Providence, two brothers, Filiberto and Oswaldo Hernandez both of Guatemala, five Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish Church, (formerly St. Matthews) Dexter Street Central Falls on THURSDAY, January 9, 2020, at 9:30 AM and burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Ave. Pawtucket.
