Charles Ramos Monteiro formerly of North Providence passed away on October 16, 2024 at The Mansion Nursing Home of Central Falls. Mr. Monteiro was 75 years old. He was born on November 4, 1948 in Senegal (West Africia). He was the son of the late Benvinda Pires and Nicholas Ramos Monteiro.
Charles had been a resident of Rhode Island since coming from his home country of Senegal in 1979. He was a hard worker, family man and especially a committed Dad. Mr. Monteiro worked for several years as a factory working in the jewelry manufacturing industry. He was an avid fan of soccer and cheered faithfully for the Senegal National Team. Charles was a supportive person who could make people laugh with his contagious sense of humor.
Mr. Monteiro is survived by 2 daughters and was the proud grandfather of 3 beautiful grandchildren. He was a brother of 9 siblings and has several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 22nd at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 291 High St. Pawtucket. Interment will follow in Mt. Saint Mary’s Cemetery in 661 Prospect St. Pawtucket.
