Cedric Mishell Lilly

Cedric Mishell Lilly 44 of Providence passed away suddenly on April 21, 2025.  Mr. Lilly was the beloved son of Betty Ann (Newson) and Mishell Lilly of Providence.  He was born in Providence on April 15, 1981.

Growing up and educated in Rhode Island, Cedric had a passion for acting.  He would go on to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  Performing in the theater brought Cedric such happiness and brought him to many places.  Performances in cities such as Philadelphia, Boston and New York City were accomplishments that Cedric was proud of.  He performed in Providence many times and entertained throughout Rhode Island for several years.  Cedric also made an impact for the community as a teacher, in which he connected youth and taught through the arts.

In addition to his career, Cedric was extremely close with his family.  He was an excellent son and even convinced his Dad to pick up acting at the age of 56.  Aside from living in Philadelphia for a time, Cedric also lived in New York City for a few years however, Providence always felt like home.

In addition to his parents, Betty Ann and Mishell Lilly of Providence, Cedric is survived by his brother Julius Hendericks and his sister Sabrina Hendericks.  He was the uncle of Shabrina and the grand uncle of Ayliah Young. 

Private cremation will take place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
