Cary "Robbie" Owen, 60, of Central Falls lost his battle with cancer with his beloved family by his side on October 25, 2021. Born April 25, 1961 to Cary Robert Allen Owen, he was a child of Robert Owen and Delma Alves-Brooks.
Robbie is described as being a charming gentleman who always dressed in the flashiest and fly-est outfits. A man of modest means, he was dedicated to his trade and was sure to take on the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none" and become master of all. His handiness was unrivaled by his coworkers and peers; the only trade he couldn't master was the art of linguistics. He didn't mind his corny lines and writing verses over his favorite 90's hip-hop and R&B, he would share this gift with anyone, whether they would listen or not... he always felt he was the realest in the room. With this lighthearted demeanor, he brought the party (no matter where it was) to life; the best dressed, the brightest bulb and the best fake judge you could meet; he provided his friends and family with the worst free legal advice he could muster thanks to the School of Daytime Court Television with a minor in Street Justice.
Robbie was a beloved brother to his eight siblings and he gave his best to be supportive for his two daughters but unfortunately life always gets in the way; he struggled to maintain relationships with his family and settled on being the best uncle and cousin that he could be. He was lucky enough to receive a second chance at a form of parenthood and took on a role as grandfather for the children of his nephew and niece, Wesley and Michelle. Affectionately known as Unk, he was sure to bring love and support to the children in his life and was sure to explain to them that life is hard but God finds a way to give you what you need, even if it's not what you want.
Unk is survived by the friendly faces he was called to on the street but most importantly, his family; his adopted children, Wesley and Michelle David; his biological children, Angela Medeiros and Renay Owen; his two grand-babies; his siblings, Randall, Rolando, Rolinda, Rena, Regina, Rayleen and Roberta, his niece, Reanna Owen as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Robbie was predeceased by his parents, his sister Karen Owen.
