Carmen Pilar Hilerio, 82 years old, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with alzheimer's.. She was the wife of Irene Hilerio for 55 years. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Pablo Morales and Raquel Vega and had lived in the Bronx, NY for many years until relocating to Rhode Island in the late 80'S. Carmen was a home maker and enjoyed her family.
Besides her husband, she leaves 2 daughters, Diana Hilerio and Nydia Grey both of Pawtucket and two son Carlos Castro of Pawtucket and Israel Castro of Providence. She also leaves nine siblings, Luis, Sammy, Kelin, Emma, Irma, Anita, Miguel, Orlando and Milagros; 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, Hilda, Angela, Lydia, Paulie and Hector Morales and her two sons, Walter and Angel Castro.
VISITATION will be held WEDNESDAY evening, 5 until 8 PM in the Coelho Home, Central Falls. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM in the Funeral Home and Burial will follow in No. Burial Ground, Providence.
