Carlos Mario Bello of Pawtucket passed away unexpectedly at his home on the morning of March 9, 2023. Mr. Bello was 30 years old. He is survived by his wife Valentina Restrepo.
Carlos was born on August 26, 1992 in Barranquilla, Colombia and was the only son of Claudia Insignares. He settled in Pawtucket for most of his life, attending Tolman High School prior to enlisting in the Rhode Island Army National Guard and serving our country honorably as a decorated Infantryman Soldier in the United States Army. Mr. Bello served in the Army for 8 years, including a tour in Afghanistan. He was proud of his service and his family and friends were and always will be proud of him.
Mr. Bello was a family oriented man, he especially loved being around his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed watching movies and playing video games. Carlos had a huge heart and it showed with his dedication to working and volunteering with the disabled at Perspectives.
In addition to his wife Valentina and his mother Claudia, Mr. Bello is survived by his sisters; Angelica Arias and her husband George of Cranston and Suhey Dunn and her husband Michael of Detroit, MI. He was the proud uncle of Emma Arias, Aaron James Arias, Kieren Dunn and Kai Dunn. Carlos is also survived by his grandparents, dear friends from the Army and several relatives and childhood friends.
Visiting Hours will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday March 16th in The Coelho Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI. Burial will follow at 11:30am on Friday March 17th in the Rhode Island Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in 301 South County Trail in Exeter. Procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:30am promptly. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home beginning at 9am.
