Brenda L. Maloney, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side, after a brief illness. She was the longtime companion of Carol A. MacDonald, with whom she made her home for many years.
Brenda was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Elena (Saraiva) Maloney. She has lived in Cumberland for many years. Brenda was employed in the healthcare industry for BAMSI of Brockton, MA for 20 years, retiring in 2019. She also had been employed as a school bus driver, and had worked many other fields of employment. She was hard worker, loved her family and enjoyed laughter.
Besides her companion, she is survived by four sisters, Mary Betz and her husband Michael of Pascoag, RI, Anna Guyer of Cumberland, Theresa Melton of Woonsocket and Rosalie Hamilton of Norton, MA. , two brothers, Frank Maloney of Ohio and Raymond Saraiva of New Bedford, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on FRIDAY, in St. James Church, Manville RI at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery West Wrentham Rd. Cumberland.
