Barbara (Owens) Chlebek

Barbara Chlebek, 70, the loving wife of Walter Chlebek, of Central Falls, passed away Saturday at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care RI after a long illness. She was born in Central Falls a lifelong resident of the city and was the daughter of the late Henry and Edith (Hargreaves) Owens. Barbara had been employed as a CNA for more than 30 years and had most recently worked for Beacon Hospice. She was a devoted care giver to all her patients. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Barbara enjoyed 60's and 70's music and sitting in the yard crocheting and was very fond of her dog.

 Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Christopher Chlebek of Central Falls and a daughter, Jennifer Frezza of No. Providence and four grandsons, Michael, Jacob, Aidan and Noah Frezza. She was the sister of Donald Owen of Lincoln and David Owen of South Korea.

VISITATION will be Tuesday evening, 5 until 7 PM in the Coelho Home, Central Falls. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Social distancing is required and face masks must be worn.

No more than 15 people allowed in the Funeral Home at one time.
