August Almeida

PAWTUCKET, August Almeida, 95, of the Darlington Section of Pawtucket, passed away after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Gisele (Pane) Almeida.  Mr. Almeida was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket and had been employed at a pipe fitter for the former W.D. Fortin Plumbing Co. 

He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Navy. He was a member of the Portuguese Social Club of Pawtucket. and a Communicant of St. Mary’s church of Pawtucket.

He is survived by two daughters, Elaine Kelaghan of East Greenwich and Karen Walsh of Cumberland. He also leaves five Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held Saturday at 10 AM from the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls.  Visitation is on Saturday 9 AM – 10AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Mary’s Pine St. in Pawtucket. Burial in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery.
