Armand A. Teixeira, Esq. of Cumberland, died unexpectedly at home, December 28th, due to an apparent cardiac issue. He was the beloved husband of Ann Gancz Teixeira. Born in Pawtucket Rhode Island, he was the loving son of the late Armando and Azira (Lemos) Teixeira.
He was very proud of his Portuguese Heritage and would often speak of his ancestral home, Ribamondego, Gouveia, Portugal. He was a graduate of Cumberland High School, class of 1976, Roger Williams University, 1980, where he served as the official college photographer and Suffolk University School of Law, Boston.
Mr. Teixeira enjoyed working as a lawyer for nearly 40 years. He was licensed to practice law in all State and Federal Courts in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He was also licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Mr., Teixeira was also a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association for several years and a member of the East Warren Rod & Gun Club. He had a lifelong interest in building and fixing classic cars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother-in-law Stephen J. Gancz; brother-in-law Peter M. Gancz; sister-in-law Nancy Jacques; and brother -in-law Frank Jacques. He also leaves a nephew Matthew P. Gancz (Jenna) and their children. Luke, Jeremiah, Emmy' May and Caleb. And also survived by cousins and other family members.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited and may call Saturday, January 6th, in The Coelho Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls, from 9AM. A Funeral Prayer Service will begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the family plot at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
