Anita Elise (LaPlante) Larson

Anita Elise Larson 86 of Greenville, RI passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at Steere House Rehabilitation, under the care of Hope Hospice.

 She was the wife of the late W. Victor Larson, mother of the late Valerie Carlos and sister of the late Claire, Pauline, Jeanne, Robert and Aline.

 Anita was born on August 22, 1939, daughter of the late Edna and Arsene LaPlante.

 Anita loved spending time with her family; they were her life.  She enjoyed family gatherings and holidays together.  Mrs. Larson was an avid reader, loved jazz music and the beach.  She was very good at taking care of her plants and always kept watch over her bird feeder, hoping to catch the glimpse of her beloved Cardinal.

 Anita Elise Larson is survived by her loving children, Vicki Wright and her partner Bobby, Robbin Handloser and her husband Tom, Steven Larson and his wife Denise, Gary Larson and his wife Nancy.  She is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren, Nathan Larson, Timothy Larson, Daniel Larson, Sabrina Wright and Sarah Beall.  Anita was a great grandmother of 8. She is also survived by her brother Raymond LaPlante.

 An intimate funeral service will be celebrated privately by Anita’s family.  She will be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.
