Wayne E. Hyman, 74, of Medeira Avenue, passed into eternal rest on October 19th at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in West Roxbury, Boston, MA, after a brief battle with Cancer. He was born in Cumberland, a step-son of the late Joseph DeStephano and Beatrice Hyman. He previously lived in Johnston before moving to Central Falls. He had been employed as a truck driver for the former Millbrook Reel Co. of Pawtucket, for more than 10 years. Wayne proudly served in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam for three years before his honorable discharge in 1967.
He is survived by a son Wayne E. Hyman Jr. of East Providence, and four daughters, Dawn Hyman of Central Falls, his principal care giver, Kathy Simao of Cumberland and Kim Hyman of Central Falls. He also leaves a half brother Joseph DeStephano of Johnston, 11 Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering for Family & Friends will be held THURSDAY, October 24th, his birthday, in the COELHO HOME, Central Falls, from 2 until 4 PM . Relatives and friends are respectfully welcome to attend.
