Virginia Hemond, 95, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning. She was the wife of the late great Joseph Hemond and Mother to the late Ellen Sherlock Feldhacker. Virginia was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Stephen and Pauline (Markazini) Theoharris. She was a lifelong resident of the city. Virginia had been joyfully employed at the former Narragansett Park Race Track..
Virginia was an excellent cook, fun loving, a self described gypsy and had a love for playing a game of chance (aka-The Track).
She is survived by two loving grandchildren, Scott Sherlock and Ginny Jo Lester, both of Pawtucket and a great grandchild Brett Michael Sherlock. Along with a large extended family, who adored their Auntie Gin. She was the sister of the late Paul Theoharris, Emily Bergamo, Olga Dixon and Despa Martino.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Sunday afternoon, from 3 until 5pm in the Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI relatives and friends are invited to attend.
