Roland "Ronnie" Thibeault, 91, formerly of Lonsdale Avenue in Central Falls, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence on January 17, 2019, after a brief illness. Roland was born in Cumberland, a son of the late Wilfred and Blanche (Crosby) Thibeault. He had resided in Central Falls several years before moving to Cumberland 2 years ago.
Roland served in the US Air Force four years beginning on Pearl Harbor Day 1941. during and at the end of WW II. He was an accomplished pilot and had previously owned his own aircrafts, He enjoyed being an aviator and casual flying for recreation. He was very fond of the two aircrafts he owned in his lifetime. He was also a master carpenter , however, finish carpentry was his specialty.
He is survived by Normand J. Thibeault. and Eileen Crosby Moran. Brother of the late Donald O. Thibeault, Geraldine Wheeler and Robert L. "Bob" Thibeault who passed away last February 17th, 2018. Ronnie also leaves nieces and nephews.
At his request, his arrangement were strictly private. His burial was with his late beloved companion, Lucille in, Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Thier graves were specifically chosen on the glide path to runweay 32, at New Bedford Regional Airport.
