Ralph C. Pinto 89, Passed away Saturday at The Holiday in Albion, after an illness. He was the son of the late Joseph and Diolinda Pinto. Ralph had lived in Bishop, California for 35 years before returning to the Blackstone Valley area in 1997. He had been employed as a commercial diver, was a structural welder and was a certified machinist.
He served in the US Army from 1948 until 1952 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Ralph was an avid tennis player, a gifted woodworker and had been a member of the 371st Army Band.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Pinto of Manville, 2 sons, Ralph Pinto of East Providence and Michael Pinto of Central Falls, a step daughter, Linda Valentine-Alves of Burrillville and 2 step sons, Dennis Potvin of Carlisle, PA and Richard Potvin of Milton, FL. He also leaves a sister Loretta Crisfield of Pawtucket and Rachelle Bessette of Cumberland and a brother Joseph Pinto of Lincoln. He was the Grandfather to , Ray Pinto, Latoya Allen, Michael Pinto, Brenna Pinto and the late Devon Pinto and the Great Grandfather of Michel Pinto. He was also the brother of the late Douglas Pinto.
