Fabio Montes Correa, 75 of Wilfrid Manor in Central Falls, passed away at Miriam Hospital in Providence last Wednesday,after an in illness. He was the husband of Maria Cecilia Tabares.
Born in Manizales, Colombia, a son of the late Israel Montes and Fanny Correa. He migrated from Colombia several years ago and had lived in Pawtucket before moving to Central Falls. He had been employed as an assembler for U-Haul Corp. Previously in Colombia, he had been employed as a taxi driver and owned mechanical shops. He also worked with his father in the bakery.
Besides his wife he leaves a son Cesar Montres in Colombia, two daughters, Diana Carolina Montes and Sandra Montes and her husband, Frank Arrubla, both of Cumberland, RI. He also leaves a sister, Stella Montes of Los Angeles, Ca. He was the Grandfather to four beloved Grandchildren, Cesar Montes, Nicole Arrubla, Sophia Ovalle and Mimi Barbosa. and a family friend, Mario Barbosa.
CALLING HOURS, FRIDAY evening 5 until 7 PM. Funeral Saturday at 8:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Church, Dexter Street Central Falls at 9:30 AM.
