Belle A. Pellegrino, 74 of Providence, entered into eternal rest December 10th after an illness. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (King) Pellegrino. Belle served in the UnitedStates Marine Corps in 1968 and 1969 when she was Honorably discharged in September. She volunteered for The Colonie Fire/Police Dept. as an EMT. She was a Chaplain for the TriCounty Vets., a Pastor at UFMCC of Albany, she was also a dispatcher at the Warwick Fire Dept. and was one of the original 76ers and also worked to ensure that the first Gay Pride Parade occurred. She was Emperor 16 and 24 at the ICRI.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara and Bernadette Pellegrino, nieces and nephews and a grandson. She is also survived by the family of the late Blanche Benoit. Ms Pellegrino is well known and remembered for her kindness, love and acceptance of all those she touched.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 in Holy Spirit Parish Church, Dexter Street Central Falls. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
