Anthony Sacoccio Jr. 88, of Pawtucket, passed away June 4th at the Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Doris T. (Charpentier) Sacoccio. Anthony was born in Cranston, a son of the late Anthony Sr. and Maria Sacoccio. He had been employed as a forklift operator in the shipping department of the former Corning Glass Works, which later became known as Osram Sylvania, in Central Falls. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Flint Glass Workers Union.
Besides is wife, he leaves 2 sons, Scott Sacoccio of Lincoln and Richard A. Sacoccio of Florida and two Grandchildren. He also leaves three sisters, Louise Cassica, Phyllis Occhipinti and Vera Bouchard and a brother Pasquale Sacoccio. He was the brother of the late Pauline Sacoccio, Mafalda Miele, Viola Antoscia, Arthur, Flori and Elmer Sacoccio. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 12th at 9 AM from the Coelho Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Walcott St. Pawtucket at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. . VISITATION, will be held Monday evening, 5 until 8 PM. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
