Biography

Lucia Mejia, 89, of Fletcher Street Central Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday at Memorial Hospital of RI after an illness. She was the widow of Ildelfonso Mejia and had been married 62 years pryor to his passing last year.
She was born in Santo Domingo, a daughter of the late Augustino and Cristobolina Mejia. She has lived in Rhode Island for the last 30 years. She had been employed at Hasbro of Pawtucket for a few years before retiring.She had been a member of Kingdom, Pawtucket Assembly and later was a member at the Lincoln Assembly.
She leaves 2 daughters, Thelma Mota of Santo Domingo and Arelis Sosa of Providence; 5 sons, Iziquiel Mejia and his wife Lisa with whom she made her home in Central Falls, Antonio Mejia of Puerto Rico, Ildelfonso Mejia of Santo Domingo, Jose Mejia of Florida and Jeremias Mejia of Attleboro, 21 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
