Samuel ("Sam") Andrade

 Samuel Andrade, 87, known to most as "Sam", longtime Maitre D’ at the former Chalet Restaurant, the Capri Room  and The Villa Restaurant, passed away Saturday after an illness. Sam was born in Central Falls, a son of the late Joao and Maria (DeJesus) Andrade and had lived most of his life in the Darlington Section of Pawtucket.  Sam had served in the US Army Air Force. He leaves a nephew, Richard Rocha, and 4 nieces, Dolores Andrade, Gloria Coyle, Susan Rodenbaugh and Nancy Rocha. He was predeceased by  2 sisters, Louiza Ramos and Belmira Rocha, and 4 brothers, Adrian, Antonio, Joseph and Clarence Andrade. He also leaves devoted friends, Janice Springthorpe and the Tanury Family. Sam had a great sense of humor and was well known in the restaurant industry.
