Nuestra más sentida nota de pesar por la inesperada partida de nuestro buen amigo Reinaldo Pérez "Don Rey" como cariñosamente lo llamábamos. En casi cuatro décadas de publicación del periódico "Nuevos Horizontes" bien podríamos decir que los eventos de más resonancia en la comunidad hispana siempre tuvieron la presencia de Reinaldo Pérez tanto en el ámbito social, cultural, deportivo y politico. Su figura será recordada por todos los que tuvimos el honor de conocerlo. Luchador incansable por la aprobación de licencias de conducir para los indocumentados. Trabajó ardúamente para lograr la elección de James Diossa, el primer alcalde hispano en Central Falls.
