Maritza Roman, 58 years old, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. She was born in the Bronx, New Yory, a daughter of Rafaela (Ortiz) Roman and the late Jose Roman. She has lived here several years and had been employed in the jewelry industry.Besides her mother, she leaves a son, Marlo Gomez of Central Falls, 3 daughters, Christine Cordeiro and Maritza Cordeiro both of Providence and Marilee Cordeiro of Pawtucket. She also leaves 3 sisters, Julia Roman of Puerto Rico, Marilee Ortiz of Florida and Carol Roman of Pawtucket and 3 brothers, Kenny Roman of Central Falls and Rafael and GIlbert Roman both of Pawtucket and 16 Grandchildren.
A Gathring celebrating her life will be privately held at home by her family.
