Maria J. Pineda

Maria J. Pineda, passed away Friday morning at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence after an illness. She was the widow of Octavio Pineda.

She was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, a daughter of the late Pedro Valencia and Josefina Cantillo Salas. She had resided in Rhode Island for several years and was a member of Iglesia San Jorge of Central Falls. She had been employed as an assembler at Hasbro Industries for several years before retiring.

She leaves 3 daughters, Rocio Pineda Morales,of Central Falls, Maribel Pineda of Florida and Omaira Moreno of Pawtucket a son Dagoberto Pineda of Central Falls and 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jose Pineda.  She was predeceased by all her siblings.

VISITATION,  MONDAY, 5 until 8 PM. Her Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the Funeral Home, with Services in Iglesia San Jorge. Clinton Street at 10 AM. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd. Providence.
