John R. 'Wimpie' Parfitt, 81, formerly of Kennedy Manor in Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday after an illness. John was born in Central Falls, a son of the late Clifton and Alice (Crompton) Parfitt and had lived all his life in the Blackstone Valley area. He had been employed in the concrete form industry for several years and also worked as a mover. John had been a motorcycle enthusiast in his younger years.
He leaves a daughter Mary Smith of Warwick, two brothers, Earl and Walter Parfitt and two sisters, Alice Maloney and Lidia Bouchard, four Grandchildren, five Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday evening in the Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls. from 6 until 8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
