Joan D. Napolillo, of High Street in Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Sunday with her husband by her side after a courageous battle with cancer, She was the beloved wife of Carmine A. Napolillo and was born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Homer V. and Doris M. (Parfitt) Sosville. She had been employed as a fine jewelry sales clerk for Zales Jewelers at the Ann & Hope store in Cumberland, for 27 years and was also employed at the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Cumberland, for 13 years, before retiring. She was a past President of the VFW Post # 1271 in Central Falls, and was the treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post # 14 in Cumberland for many years.
Beside her husband, she leaves her children, Mark C.Lawrence of Cumberland; Cythia Baldwin (Dennis) of No. Providence; Kimberly Souza ( David) of Lincoln; Linda Napolillo of Mastic, NY; David Napolillo of Costa Rica, Central America; John Napolillo (Deanna Harrington) of Nokomis, Fl; Lauren ( James) Dyer of Narragansett and Leslie Beatty (Anthony Adams) of Pawtucket. She is predeceased by her son, Gary Butler. Joan also leaves 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Donald Sosville.
Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 9 AM in the CHARLES COELHO Funeral Home, 151 Crss St. Central Falls, Calling Hours, Wednesday, 4- 7 PM, Interment will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, So. County Trail, Exeter, RI.
