Donald R. Theroux, 73, entered into eternal life last Friday at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Gail M. (Nolin) Theroux and had been married 52 years. He was born in Pawtucket a son of the late Roland L. and Margaret (McConaghy) Theroux. Donald was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket and had been employed as plumber for local # 51 most of his life.
He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and was a volunteer at their Food Pantry for years. Donald enjoyed boating and was an avid builder of wooden sailing ship models.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son Donald R. Theroux Jr. and his wife Julie of So. Attleboro, a daughter, Jodie Thompson of Pawtucket, a sister Margaret Massaro of Florida and 3 brothers Leonard and William Theroux also both of Florida and Daniel Theroux of R.I. He also leaves 6 Grandchildren and a Great Granddaughter, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. John the Baptist Church, 69 Quincy Ave. Pawtucket at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Food Pantry of the church or to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of R.I.
