Beatrice R. (Letendre) Daigle-Laflamme, 93, formerly of Central Falls and Cumberland, pased into eternal life on Thursday at the Ballou Home in Woonsocket after a long illness. She was the widow of Alexander "Al" Daigle and the late George Laflamme. She was born in Central Falls a daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Landry) Letendre. Beatrice lived in Central Falls several years before moving to One Mendon Rd. in Cumberland and later to the home of her daughter Susan and John Byrnes in Woonsocket. She has lived at the Ballou Home for the last 5 years. She had been employed at the former TI of Attleboro, and later as a sales person at the former APEX department store in Pawtucket. Her primary occupation was her devotion to her family.She is survived by a daughter, Susan Byrnes and her husband John of Woonsocket, 2 sons, Robert and his wife Pauline Daigle of South Carolina and William and his wife Linda Daigle of Lincoln. She also leaves 2 Grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Heather Byrnes of Smithfield, and Erin and her husband Thomas Lydon of Attleboro, and 4 Great Grandchildren. Beatrice also leaves five Step Children, Suzanne Andreozzi of Barrington, Jeanne Casavant of Pasco, WA, Ronald Laflamme of Corinth, ME, Gayle DeQuenoy of Bristol, RI and Darlene Szumilo of Pawtucket, RI. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Charles and Norma "Sis" Letendre and Loretta Boegler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in Historic, St. Joseph's Church, 1303 Mendon Rd. Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Committal prayers will be held at the RI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, So. County Trail, Exeter, RI.
