Artur Cardoso

Artur Moniz Cardoso, 88, passed away at home in Pawtucket after a long illness. He was the husband of Gouimar Moniz (Frade) Cardoso and had been married 62 years. Artur was a self employed painter and carpenter and worked in the Pawtucket area several years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Artur and his Fiancee Ronda Paquin, who was Artur’s principal care-giver, Duarte Cardoso and his wife Dianne, all of Pawtucket and a daughter Maria Johnson and her husband Jeff of Maine. He also leaves 3 sisters,Belma Cardoso of Pawtucket, Albertina Macedo and Maria Jose Sampaio of the Boston area, a brother Manuel Cardoso of Pawtucket, 9 Grandchildren and a Great Granddaughter Lilliana Ramos.

His Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 AM from the CHARLES COELHO Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, Lawn Avenue Pawtucket at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours, Wednesday, 5 until 8 PM.
