Amaro Nunes, 91, of Broad Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday with his daughter Maria Isabel Nunes and Grandson Richard Oliveira by his side. Amaro was the husband of the late Ana Barbosa Nunes. He was born in Soito de Vide Penalva, do Costelo, Portugal, a son of the late Joaquim and Maria (Daluz) Nunes. In his younger years he worked in the farming industry in Portugal and also ran a 'Taberna' at home in Portugal.
Besides his daughter, Maria Isabel Nunes, his principal care giver with whom he made his home, he also leaves another daughter, Alice Nunes of Cumberland and a son Manuel Nunes of Fall River, a sister Alice in Portugal, 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Sunday, from 5 until 7 PM in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, Central Falls.
His Funeral and burial will be in Portugal.
