Alba Sofia Tovar

Alba S. Tovar, 80 years old, wife of the late Mario Tovar, passed away Saturday after a brief illness. She was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, a daughter of Jose Araujo and Isabel Acendra. She has lived in Central Falls for more than forty years. Alba operated a Grecco Jewelry for several years before retiring.

She is survived by a daughter, Yomaira Tovar with whom she made her home and a son Mario Tovar of Attleboro and 4 Grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jaime Tovar. She also leaves a sister, Lola Araujo of Central Falls and a brother Alfredo Araujo of Pawtucket, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening in the Funeral Home and a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 AM. Interment will follow in No. Burial Ground, Providence.
